1. General information
Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the federal data protection provisions, every person is entitled to protection of their privacy and to protection against misuse of their personal data. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Please note that data transmission on the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may have security gaps; complete protection against access by third parties is not possible.
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Metanet AG, Zurich, in Switzerland. When you visit the website, the web server automatically stores access data in log files: IP address, date and time, page accessed, amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page. This data is used for the secure and stable operation of the website and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation.
3. Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own. In your browser's storage (localStorage) we only record whether you have consented to Google Analytics and the Superchat chat; this entry contains no personal data. Google Analytics and Superchat only set their own cookies after you consent (see section 8). You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, and delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
4. Fonts (Google Fonts)
For consistent display, fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser establishes a connection to servers of Google LLC and transmits your IP address. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Online booking (Beds24)
Bookings via this website are processed through the Beds24 booking system (Beds24.com Ltd). The data entered there (name, address, e-mail, telephone number, travel dates, payment data) is processed to fulfil the contract. Payments are handled by certified payment service providers, in particular Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Dublin, Ireland); we do not store complete credit card details. The Beds24 privacy policy also applies: beds24.com/privacy.php.
6. Guest portal and digital check-in
For digital check-in we use our guest portal (checkin.elements-lodge.ch), which runs on the Base44 platform (Wix.com Ltd., Israel). There we collect the registration data required by law (name, address, date of birth, nationality, ID details) as well as details of arrival, visitor's tax and booked extras. Registration data is transmitted to the competent authorities or the Jungfrau Region registration system in accordance with the cantonal hospitality act. Access codes are issued individually; the electronic access system (Nuki Home Solutions GmbH, Graz, Austria) keeps an access log.
7. Contact by e-mail and WhatsApp
If you contact us by e-mail, WhatsApp or the website chat, your details are stored to process the enquiry and for any follow-up questions. We handle WhatsApp and website chat messages with the communication platform Superchat (a provider based in Germany). For WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. / Meta), their privacy terms also apply; please do not send us particularly sensitive data via WhatsApp.
8. Web analytics and chat
We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd., Dublin, Ireland) with shortened IP addresses for audience measurement. It collects information on how the website is used (e.g. pages viewed, time spent, device, approximate location); a transfer to Google LLC in the USA is possible. We also embed the Superchat chat widget, through which you can send us messages directly. Both services are only loaded if you consent in the cookie notice. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
9. External links and social media
Our website contains links to external websites (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Jungfrau Region). When you click on them, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We do not embed social media plugins that transmit data as soon as the page is loaded.
10. Disclosure of data
We only pass on data to service providers we engage to fulfil the contract (booking system, payment processing, guest portal, e-mail dispatch, guest registration) and where we are legally obliged to do so. Data is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.
Some of these service providers process data outside Switzerland, namely in the EU, the United Kingdom, Israel and the USA. Where data is disclosed to a country without adequate data protection, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on a statutory exception (e.g. processing your booking).
11. Retention
We retain booking and invoice data in accordance with commercial and tax law retention obligations (generally 10 years). Registration data is retained in accordance with legal requirements and then deleted. Server log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest.
12. Your rights
You have the right to information about the data stored about you, to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, and to data portability, where provided for by law. You may withdraw any consent given at any time. Please contact info@elements-lodge.ch. The competent supervisory authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
13. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on the website applies. Last updated: October 2026.
